Out of an abundance of caution and due to the predicted excessive heat on Thursday June 20th Park will be dismissing students 2 1/2 hours early. Students will be dismissed at 11:35 AM. Please be sure to make arrangements for your child(ren) to be picked up at school or their bus stop as needed. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please review your child's report card that will be sent home with your child. Report cards are still available for viewing on the Aspen Family portal as well. Talk to your child about their report card. Point out their strengths and discuss some goals and things to practice for the summer and next school year. Please help your child access their summer work. The work is meant to help students stay sharp with their academic skills to minimize the summer slide. So when they return in the fall the review time is less and teachers can move forward with new challenges. Try to make the summer learning fun not forced. Students that complete their summer work will be invited to an Ice cream party and/ or a pizza party. It will be a Blast! The Park main office will be open until July 3rd after school is closed. After that date all other inquiries can be made to the Warwick Public Schools Central Office. The first day of school year 2024-25 will be Aug. 29th. We want to wish everyone a happy and healthy summer!

Unfortunately we have to cancel our end of year picnic tonight 6/14/2024 due to the anticipated thunderstorms. Sorry for the disappointment but this event has a set up and breakdown that would be challenging with lightning. We had a great day at school with Field Day and a visit from Kona Ice. The children I'm sure are exhausted and could use the down time with family. Again sorry for any inconvenience. We will not be re-scheduling this event.

I hope everyone has had a nice vacation. We are excited as we move into the warmer weather and finish out the third trimester (the next few days are going to be 32 degrees in the AM chilly at the bus stops, have students dress in layers). We have a lot of work ahead of us please be sure to have your child in attendance when they are healthy. Please schedule appointments outside of school time when possible. We appreciate your support with student attendance. Spring Book Fair Apr 29- May 3rd! One more friendly reminder help your child charge their devices and themselves. Plug in the electronic device each night and have students maintain a reasonable bed time without a device. We have better days at school when everyone is fully charged! We are excited to hear about our students' vacations! Have a good night😉

Vacation Rainbow!
As springtime arrives and students are playing on the playground after hours I have a few reminders. 1. If there is an incident with a child please address the issue with the child's parent/caretaker. 2. Parents/ caretakers must be out of vehicle and nearby the child you are supervising. Refrain from scrolling while watching your child.Addressing your child when they misbehave. Help them navigate difficult social situations on the playground. 3. If parents aren't nearby and your child has an issue you can notify the office and we will try to help you address it by notifying parents. It is difficult for us to fully address these after school issues. If someone is in danger, threatened or harming others you should contact the police dept. and file a report. 4. We can not allow people back into the building after dismissal for liability reasons. Please do not knock on windows/doors to have someone let you in. It is startling when it happens. If there is a need to come into the building come to the main entrance and ring the bell. We would be more than happy to help you out. 5. Do not park in the corner spots near the entrance to the playground or near the cross walk. Those areas are designated no parking for safety reasons. 6. Speed limit max 5 mph. Keep it slow keep it safe and respect others. Thank you for helping us to provide a safe place for our children.

Parking during pick up notice. Multiple cars are parking on cross walks making it VERY unsafe for families and children to cross because they cannot see cars coming and cars cannot see people walking behind the cars with cars parked in each side of the cross walk . Someone was almost hit while trying to cross today, a truck didn’t see them because a suv was parked right on crosswalk and blocking the entrance to the cross walk. Please for the safety of our families park away from the cross walk and drive slowly 5mph on school grounds. Thank you.
